For those people who wish to be married under Islamic law, City Central Mosque Stoke-on-Trent is available for the hosting of Islamic marriage ceremonies. The Imam of the Mosque will be onhand for the Nikah reading and registration ceremony. On conclusion of the Nikah an official marriage certificate is issued from the mosque. The married couple are issued the original certificate and a copy is retained by the mosque.
The Nikah service is solely a religious ceremony consisting of a covenant and sacred contract between the bride and groom in the presence of witnesses. Please note for any marriage to be recognised under UK law a civil ceremony will need to be conducted.
