Funeral Services – COVID 19 Arrangements

COVID-19 funeral arrangements

City Central Mosque have been at the forefront dealing with the impact that COVID 19 has had upon funeral arrangements.

We have obtained permission from the City Council and set up a temporary Gushl area specifically to support the Muslim community during this difficult time.

These temporary facilities have been setup in the car park in partnership with other local Mosques as a central hub.

We have a team of volunteers from local Mosques specifically trained with full PPE to perform Gushl.

Gushl will be led by the volunteers and family representatives will Assist. Full PPE will be provided.

Representatives from the family must have no underlying Health issues that puts them at risk, otherwise be in good health and under the age of 60.

The number of people able to attend the Janazh Prayers will not exceed the limit set by the government.

As you can imagine these services have a cost so we urge the community to continue to donate towards our Mosque so we can support the Muslim community through this difficult time.

If you require membership to a funeral association there are currently two funeral associations that operate locally to the Mosque. Other associations may also be available in your area.
